The Faces of Meth Campaign

One of things that the Faces of Meth campaign and the anti meth advertisements we viewed is that they let the evidence speak for itself. The advertisements show you what will happen to your mouth and body if you use meth. They also showed some of the actions that you will do if you are on meth. For example they showed how its normal to think there is bugs on you if your on meth, or that you could become a prostitute. Another similarity is that every single one of the advertisements were showing "white trash." All of the people were white in the advertisements and they show the 'truths' and 'facts' about the use of meth. They show what will happen to you if you use meth.

The article helps me analyze the cultural fears and anxieties that are inherent in these advertisments. The article analyzes that doing meth turns you into trailer trash. They explain the fears and anxieties that are created when looking at the advertisements.

The anti-meth advertisements definitely put fear and anxiety into your mind because it makes you not want to become these people. It should you what will really happen to 'you' if you try meth.

I personally think that these advertisements are very effective in making me think twice about doing meth. It really shows you the real "truth" of what will happen if you do meth. There is no other drug that does this to you and these advertisements really prove what 'will' happen.
